Starter homes initiative could result in less than acceptable conditions for occupants, suggests Silvester

Date: 8/5/2015

The former Government's starter homes initiative sugested promoting industrial 'exception'  sites which might be used for 'below market' homes. Will this now be pursued by the new government?

John Silvester, the POS Communications Manager, told Placemaking Resource he was concerned about the proposal since "why should householders of 'below market' homes be expected to live in less than acceptable conditions potentially surrounded by 'poor' or even 'bad' neighbouring uses?"
