Considering the economic implications of the Brexit vote two of the top women in POS offer their comments.
Sara Whelan, the POS Policy Manager and Group Manager for Development Management at Dacorum DC, suggested there may be a slow down on pre-app discussions for major housing schemes but indicated that at Dacorum there have been no applications withdrawn or any dramatic changes.
Whelan suggested "the Housing and Planning Act may not be a top priority any more but could be wrong and it is too early to tell."
Anna Rose, the POS President and Service Director for Planning and Transport at Milton Keynes Council , also predicts a slowdown in applications, delivery and sales but has no direct evidence of this as yet.
However, Rose said "Whilst I initially thought that the Housing and Planning Act would cease to be urgent, I now think that this may be one of the things that continues to show that we're not falling apart!"
