The Planning Officers Society welcomes the publication today of an update report from the Lyons Housing Commission which makes further recommendations for the development of a more comprehensive strategy to effectively tackle the housing crisis.
Society's Chairman, Mike Kiely, comments:
"The housing crisis is growing by the day and this update report from the Lyons Commission highlights the need to tackle it across all fronts. No single approach will work and history shows us that is is only where we have brought all our resources to bear on this problem that we have been effective. It is time to do that again and the recommendations are a good blueprint."
Malcolm Sharp MBE, a member of the Commission, is a former President of the Society.
