POS in Round Table Discussions with Lord Taylor on Need for Planning Guidance

The Taylor Review, to streamline practical guidance to make the planning system swifter and more accessible, is to involve the Planning Officers Society in its talks.

Lord Taylor is keen to engage with local authorities and has suggested a round table session with a small number of councils. POS is to play a leading part and is being represented by Mike Kiely, Senior Vice-President (Director of Planning & Building Control, LB Croydon); Steve Ingram, Convenor Eastern Region (Head of Planning Services, Huntingdonshire DC); John Walker, member of the Development Management Committee (Operational Director Development Planning, LB Westminster) and Andrew Wright, General Manager POS Enterprises.

Lord Taylor of Goss Moor, has been appointed by DCLG, to lead an external group that will look to streamline some 6,000 pages of practice guidance that explains statutory provisions, planning and the planning system >> read more.
