POS Expresses Concern Over Implications on the Interaction with NPPF and Further Alterations to the London Plan

Date: 12/9/2014

The GLA's Draft Further Alterations to the London Plan (FALP), intended to update the capital's spatial plan, are currently being examined and Catriona Riddell, the Society's Strategic Planning Specialist, told Planning magazine that she was concerned over the interaction of the FALP and the NPPF.

Riddell commented "If the FALP is adopted ... it will be very interesting [when the first borough creates a local plan] to see what the debate is about their objectively assessed needs, because they have to be in general conformity with the London Plan, but also with the requirements of the NPPF."
