CLG Liaison CLG gave a progress report on the Localism Bill. The Minister had agreed to consider amendments to Section 90 and the duty to co-operate. The Bill had now finished its third reading and the report stage was coming up.

CLG had held a number of workshops with key partners about the National Planning Policy Framework. They had received over 3000 responses including campaigns about protecting ancient woodlands, eco homes and light pollution. As work on the Framework is taken forward further workshops may be held. There would be a consultation in the summer and there were on going discussions on including the Framework on the face of the Localism Bill.
