Minutes of the meeting held on 1 April and outstanding actions

The minutes of the previous meeting were agreed.

Min 11/39.  Further round table discussions with other organisations.  Cabinet noted that JS has prepared and  circulated a note to reflect the Society's work programme on the bill to compare with that prepared by the RTPI.  MH reported that he has now received a letter from the Institute's President suggesting a meeting to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Min 11/45.  LGA Liaison.  Cabinet noted that the annual contract meeting has still not taken place and JS was awaiing dates.

Decisions from POS Board meeting held on 15 July 2011

Cabinet noted that the following issues had been discussed:

a)    Forms to allow the accountants, Torr Waterfield, to file returns with the HMRC on behalf of the Society had been signed;

b)    Indemnity insurance for trustees would be obtained;

c)    LD would maintain a register for declarations of interest and for items of hospitality/gifts received by Trustees and Cabinet members.  A de minimus amount of £25.00 had been agreed for hospitality and it was the individual responsibility of Trustees and Cabinet to notify LD of any such item;
