Company Information

POS Enterprises was set up in 2004, as the delivery arm of the Society.  Its remit is

POS Enterprises was set up in 2004, as the delivery arm of the Society. Its remit is "to provide consultancy and other services in support of and in a manner consistent with the objects of the Planning Officers Society."

POS Enterprises is wholly owned by the Society, and all profits go to the Society to swell its capacity to provide support to its members and public sector planning.  The tie in to the Society's objectives is important, because it makes it clear that our purpose is not just to bring in revenue, but to actively support local authorities to succeed and improve their services.

The Directors are normally serving or recent local government officers, all of whom are appointed by the Society.  They are unpaid.  The current Directors are:

  • Roger Hargreaves - Retired POS member (Chairman)
  • David Evans - Weymouth & Portland and West Dorset
  • Mike Holmes - Bournemouth
  • Steve Ingram - South Kesteven
  • Phil Kirby - Broadland
  • Rob Murfin - Derbyshire
  • Paul Seddon - Nottingham
  • Lonek Wotjlulewicz - Leicestershire

Andrew Wright is the General Manager.  He acts as Head of Consulting and provides business management and administrative services.  He is the normal first point of contact.  Andrew is supported by Linda Durtnal as Training and Development Manager
